To ascertain effective programme delivery, the organisation networks strongly with other organisations with similar thematic focus thus complementing efforts. We also continue to work with other civil society groups in policy advocacy and service provision.
OneLife Initiative for Human Development works with Youthhub Africa to make available valuable content to African youth on contemporary development issues. We also contribute to Youthhub Africa’s activities in cyberspace by sharing such information through interviews, tweets, Facebook updates and offline engagements that are related to such issues. OneLife Initiative enjoys continued support from Youngstars Foundation especially through mentoring. Youngstars Foundation is a non-profit based in Abuja, Nigeria. OneLife’s Programmes Manager was part of Youngstars’ key project – Democracy Series Participatory Learning and Action (DESPLAY) – which is the biggest training platform on Democracy for young people in Africa. The Programmes Manager has facilitated at the academy and has been part of the project in the last three years (2011 – 2013). DESPLAY has had participation from youths across Nigeria and other African countries including Ghana, Liberia, Cameroun, South Africa and the Democratic Republic of Congo. The organisation has also been part of the Intra-Faith Youth Peace debate convened by Youngstars Foundation with funding from the British Council. WorldChangers Development Initiative
World Changers Development Initiative (WOCHDI) formerly known as Family Alive Network is a Nigerian Non-Governmental Organisation that focuses on youth. With a ten-year track record, their project areas include Orphan and Vulnerable Children, entrepreneurship, good governance, budget literacy, advocacy, community development and reproductive health projects among young people around Nigeria. OneLife Initiative for Human Development recently partnered with WOCHDI to successfully convene the 2013 Book Writing for Social Development and Wealth Creation in August, 2013, a three-day event targeted at young people between 10 and 20.
