Onelife Initiative Excites Anglican Youths about Opportunities in Digital Marketing for Entrepreneurship

For about one hour on Saturday, August 30th 2019, about 25 young people were shown the various prospects and job roles in digital marketing. Speaking at the programme tagged Impact 2019, the Annual Youth Anniversary of the Anglican Church of Hope and Salvation, Ibadan, the Executive Director of Onelife Initiative for Human Development, ‘Sola Fagorusi engaged the audience on the 21st Century Youth and Digital Media.

Tools like Google Trends, Google Alert, Email Hunting, Google Ads and other ranking based on Alexa and how they help in putting together digital strategies were explained to the audience. The connection between this and Entrepreneurship was also emphasised. To this end, the use of Facebook Audience Insight was explained using Oyo State which has about 1.5 million persons on Facebook as an example. Fagorusi also showed them a typical Digital Marketing vacancy and what they need to do in preparing for job roles like that.

Other facilitators at the event include Arc. Akinyemi Lapinni, Tomiwa Adeyemo and Jeanne Green. On behalf of the host, Ven. Yankee Gbotosho, the organisers thanked the facilitators for sparing time to impact on the quality of lives of the youths at the event.
