Onelife Initiative for Human Development is a registered non-governmental, not-for-profit organisation working in Nigeria to bring sustainable social change to young people. Our foremost priority is positive youth development programming to make social change(s) benefit young people in society.

Our approach employs a multi-sectoral method to enable actions through projects in the areas of governance and policies, sexual and reproductive health and rights, and enterprise development. Our primary targets are young people cutting across various strata — in-school, out-of-school, marginalized, indigenous youths, young women, irrespective of their level of literacy.

We carry out our activities through community mobilization, capacity building, trainings, facilitation and animation, and dialogue using PLA tools, volunteerism, communication for change, baseline studies while using the Positive Youth Development (PYD) approach. Through this, we are able to work with our partners to make life count for young people and also amplify their faint voice through the use of various (social) media tools.

Onelife Initiative for Human Development, a youth-biased NGO, has three main areas of focus – Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR), Governance and Policies and Enterprise Development.

That explains why we seek to empower young people with the right skills using participatory tools whilst giving them access to appropriate information needed to activate sustainable change in society.

Onelife Initiative’s vision

Is a generation of young people enjoying improved socio-economic life through innovative and consistent engagement with Nigeria’s public space.

We believe this is central to having sustainable outcomes in sexual and reproductive health and rights, governance and economic development; in measures that can profit our target population.
