Press Conference on the EndFGM Poster Art Competition

Journalists from 10 media houses covered the press conference section of the EndFGM Poster Art Competition in Oyo State. Our partners from Osun and Ekiti states were also in attention.

The project saw us receiving 2,217 entries from girls in secondary schools across the 5 states with the highest prevalence of Female Genital Mutilation in Nigeria.16 million Nigerians were reached on this project especially through the use of radio for further spread the word on preventing the future generation of mothers and fathers from subscribing to FGM.

The project was reported in several newspapers across the country. The Nation Newspaper, Daily Times, Authority Newspaper and others radio stations across the state also had it embedded in their news hour.
