PROJECT SAFIRE
Project Overview
Safire aims to improve adolescents’ (14–19 years of age) sexual and reproductive health in the context of reducing unwanted pregnancy and associated death or injury, with the aim of saving lives.
Project Objectives
- Increase access to safe, affordable, and high-quality reproductive health services that are designed with adolescent youth/girls;
- Strengthen referral networks, working so that adolescents know where to go and can access integrated services;
- Foster a supportive environment – that shifts power to girls themselves – through supportive community norms and use of social media, mobile phones (ICT platforms) and interpersonal networks;
- Prioritise local solutions to challenging adolescent health issues.
