Do you have a passion for empowering your peers with knowledge of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights?
Do you want to promote healthy choices and well-being among young women and girls in your community?

We are seeking to engage Female Peer Educators to join our team to equip young women and girls (ages 15 to 49) with comprehensive sexuality education by providing them with knowledge and skills to make informed decisions about their sexual and reproductive health.

Responsibilities

1. Conduct cohort sessions with your peers at least two times weekly
2. Provide referral services to young women and girls in your community to various health service providers
3. Carry out one-on-one information session with girls and women of your age group in your community

Eligibility

1. Young women between the ages of 18-35 years
2. Be able to speak and write in basic English and communicate in Yoruba fluently
3. Must be resident in any of the following communities – Sango, Eleyele, Apata, or Owode communities in Ibadan; and Iseke, Ojongbodu, Agunpopo in Oyo town, Oyo State.
4. Be able to mobilize girls and young women in the community and conduct sessions with them. This means you must be relatively popular, friendly and known in your community
5. Be able to find people who need family planning services and other sexual and reproductive health-related services in the community including girls and women who are being sexually abused;
6. Have an official ID Card — NIN or Voter’s Card or any other means of identification
7. Have a smartphone and be able to join online whatsapp meetings and trainings.
8. Be able to commit at least 7 hours/week to the project including weekends
