For the current strategic planning session, the organisation plans to have this coincide with the end of the Sustainable Development Goals in 2030. A major output from the workshop will be a reviewed vision and mission statement, core values and thematic areas of operation of the organisation. The strategic plan will aid the organisation in defining what its short and long term focus should be.

The one week event started with a learning visit to one of the foremost non-profits organisations in Nigeria — Action Health Incorporated. This allowed for an opportunity to learn about processes and structures that have aided the sustenance of the organisation. Some other activities during the Strategic Planning Workshop include feedback from the organisational assessment done using the Organisational Capacity Assessment Tool (OCAT). Others include the use of the PESTLE and SWOT Analysis tools, Resource Mobilisation Strategy, Development of the Theory of Change, Knowledge Management and Risk Management Plan.

The strategic thinking and visioning event which commenced on 6th January, 2025 is scheduled to end on 11th January, 2025.
