A youth-serving NGO actively providing and connecting young people with info, services and resources required to thrive and build a resilient society.

We are thrilled by the outputs of this year’s comm We are thrilled by the outputs of this year’s commemoration of the International Adolescents Health Week 2026 in Ekiti State. Our support and that of other partners in the state made possible through the initiative of the Ekiti State Ministry of Health And Human Services was the vehicle.

Our team shared with the adolescents in the room on key insights they need on Sexual and Gender Based Violence. We spoke with them about why silence is never golden in cases of SGBV. We also drew their attention to the Ekiti State Gender Based Violence (Prohibition) Law 2019 and how that legalised the operations of the Ekiti State Sexual Assault and Response Centre (SARC), now in the 3 senatorial districts in the state. The law in Ekiti recognises that male and female can be survivors of rape. The penalty is life imprisonment for adult offenders and 14 years' imprisonment for minor offenders. In cases of gang rape, it is 20 years' imprisonment without the option of a fine.

We also shared with them the case of Olarewaju Seun, an 18-year-old serving a 33-month jail term after he raped a 3-year-old girl. He is also now listed on the sex offenders register. It was a reminder to the adolescent boys in the room that sexual and gender based crimes have very dire repercussions for the survivor and also the perpetrator.

The one-week event, which ends today, had games, essay competitions, health checks, radio presentations, and other activities anchored by adolescents.

One day, we will no longer need to talk about Endi One day, we will no longer need to talk about Ending Child Marriage. We will only reference it as part of our history. Our work in Bauchi, Kano, Kaduna, Adamawa and Borno points to hard work that still needs to be done about to make this history happen.

As we commemorate this year's International Day of the Girl Child, we renew our commitment to continue contributing to activities that will give us this desired impact. We will continue to strengthen systems and communities to end child marriage in collaboration with our partners.

66 years Nigeria 🇳🇬 🇳🇬 66 years of people who re 66 years Nigeria 🇳🇬 🇳🇬

66 years of people who refuse to give up on a country that has not always made it easy to hold on…
We don’t pretend that everything is fine, but we will not pretend that there is nothing worth celebrating either.

As a country, as a people, as an organization we are waking up everyday and choosing to build something. At Onelife Initiative we choose to build the future of young people and that is not nothing it is everything a country should do.

Happy Independence Nigeria…Cheers to 66 Sir!🫡👨🏿‍🦳

The difference between a safe choice and a tragic The difference between a safe choice and a tragic headline is often one single conversation. One. Not Two.

When we interacted with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members in Oyo West on the #LetsTalk Project, we drew blanks. They turned into curiosity moments later, then value, and finally, active engagement. Hardly anyone in the room knew about the female Corps member who recently lost her life to an unsafe abortion. A preventable tragedy. A young life cut short simply because she didn’t have safe, accurate information when she needed it most.

We cannot keep losing young people to silence. Through our latest outreach, we have reached over 600 women and girls, including about 200 female corps members in Oyo State, with critical maternal health data and unsafe abortion prevention strategies. Sometimes, the information that saves a life is simply the truth someone wasn’t told yet.

Let’s break the stigma. Let’s Talk

We use story telling to drive home our messages. O We use story telling to drive home our messages. Our stories are usually human-interest stories. Some people think we make these stories up, but what can make a difference is if they see these stories live and up close?

Part of our intervention on the Let’s Talk project is showcasing human centered stories that young people can relate to and drawing lessons from them. Our photo exhibitions tell a much bigger story with images than we can ever convey thereby driving deeper conversations on reproductive health and rights for young people.

Child, early and forced marriage continues to limi Child, early and forced marriage continues to limit girls’ education, choices and futures.
The new International Day for the Elimination of Child, Early and Forced Marriage gives us another opportunity to speak up and, more importantly, act.
Ending child marriage requires all of us: governments, families, communities, schools, faith leaders and young people to join forces together and give the girl child a chance at a quality life.

One of the highlights of this year’s International One of the highlights of this year’s International Youth Day commemoration was celebrating the winners of our game sessions with prizes.

@solokad, one of our partners, donated a 16L Knapsack Sprayer, farm boots, and a watering can.  We also got a donation of a Notepad from our longest-standing partner on our Agribusiness desk @IFDC. Our guests also got to taste a new groundnut cake product from Olanreforward, a multiple award-winning SME.

But beyond the prizes, one of our winners told us, “Onelife Initiative was the one who first introduced my hands into the soil.” 🥰That one sentence meant a lot because impact is not something readily captured during an event. It’s been years coming. It is about the skills someone picks up, the opportunities they discover and the confidence to take what they have learnt and build something with it.

Will you be with us at 2027 International  Youth Day? Who knows, we might just gift a plot of land!

We successfully commemorated this year’s Internati We successfully commemorated this year’s International Youth Day (IYD) on 15th August 2026. Themed “Successfully Deploying AI Technology and Partnership in Agribusiness”, we brought about 74 young farmers and individuals together to learn and network.

Participants gained insights into how AI technology can move agriculture beyond the traditional practice through the use of AI to support plant cultivation, monitor plant health, measuring fertiliser quantities to improve farm productivity and market farm product. The event highlighted how farmers and agribusiness owners can identify problems, develop sustainable solutions, and position their businesses for investment and growth. Grants and loan opportunities for farmers were also shared with key insights shared by the winner of the 2026 MSME Award, the CEO of @olanreforwardgroup

The event wasn’t all business, Participants enjoyed games, laughter, interactive sessions, and exciting gifts for those who actively participated, especially the first, second and third prize positions. A huge thank you to our partners for contributing to the success of the IYD 2026.

The conversation about gender justice does NOT nee The conversation about gender justice does NOT need more men, it needs ALL men in the room.

On 13th August 2026, our Executive Director will be moderating sessions at the Men's Summit on Ending Child Marriage in Abuja anchored by @youthhubafrica; a space designed specifically for men who are ready to move beyond awareness into action.

Because issues of child marriage and building gender-just communities is not a women's issue waiting for women to fix. It is a human issue and men who are decision makers are a critical part of the solution.

Join us on Thursday 13th August at Shehu Yar'adua Centre, Abuja at 9am for an impactful session.

Meet Precious! When Precious joined Onelife Initi Meet Precious!

When Precious joined Onelife Initiative as a volunteer, just like many other volunteers. She started on our Agribusiness desk, got her hands into real programme work, and kept going from there, moving across desks, picking up different skills. Was it tough at some point yea!!😭

Today she is headed to the next chapter; her one-year mandatory NYSC deployment.
And she is going in sharper, more confident, and more prepared than most young people.

Here is what volunteering at Onelife actually looks like… because we want you to know before you apply:
✅ You work on real projects. Like actual projects so no room for laziness
✅ You move across desks - Agribusiness, SRHR, Media, and more, so you leave with a fuller skill set than you arrived with
✅ You build a CV that is not just corporate jargon but actual skills
✅ You join a team that invests in your growth, not just your output
✅ You leave with experience, and the kind of confidence that only comes from actually doing the work.

...So cheers to Precious🥂
