Running a non-profit organisation or any organisat

Running a non-profit organisation or any organisation at all can look simple on the surface but over 50 guests and members of Child Protection Network, #CPN in Oyo State learnt otherwise yesterday during the capacity building training on NGO Regulations and Processes: Key Operational Document every organisation needs. It is overwhelming but can be done. The session dealt with issues around #WHT, #VAT, Institutional Documentation, #Pensions, #PAYE, #Insurance for #NGOs using various examples from our work at Onelife Initiative for Human Development.

Positioning an NGO for Relevance and Opportunities in the Global world should be a desire for all non-profit actors. We are happy to hear the feedback. Passion is not enough. If it is not documented, it is a lie! Building an organisation? Look out for our product later this year — “Everything NGO.”

We are seeking to engage self-motivated young people who are interested in a career in our sector. For all the openings, a good writing skill is a must. Please note that the application links are case sensitive.

Our ideal candidate should be creative and willing to work in a team. We want to see previous work done in photography and videography even if they are amateurish.

Applicant should be a young person familiar with the grassroot environment in Ibadan and the civil service space in Oyo State. A good understanding of Nigeria’s polity is also desired.

For this role, our preference is a smart young person currently teaching and desires to impact the educational space outside of the classroom. He or she should have at least 2 years working experience.

4. Programme Officer, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights — www.bit.ly/OIHDapplySRHR
Candidates who are interested in working with young people and understand issues of reproductive health and rights with experience in similar role are encouraged to apply.

These openings are exclusively for young people ages 21 - 35 with at least a one-year post-NYSC experience, preferably in a non-governmental organisation.

Deadline for Application is 5.00pm, 20th January, 2022. Applications will however be treated on a rolling basis.

Earlier today, as part of our advocacy to end fema

Earlier today, as part of our advocacy to end female genital mutilation, we paid an advocacy visit to the Executive Secretary of Oyo State Agency for Youth Development Mrs Aerat Adegbola who signed the petition to support the ending of FGM in Nigeria and other African Union Member state.

Part of her commitment was to make sure we liaise with the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Oyo State Chapter so we can work together with #youths in Oyo State.

Cooperative formation is one of the core Capacity

Cooperative formation is one of the core Capacity Strengthenings we facilitate for our smallholder Farmers on the Cassava Value Chain. farming goes beyond just farm activities, marketing and a number of other activities for increased livelihood are best done as a group.

In the last 2 days, we have made some progress on this using #Mycoop Modules to train 100 heads of smallholder Farmers cooperatives over a period of 2days. They understand better why some of their operations need to change especially given their self assessment of their own cooperatives.
