The callers asks and comments continue to remind us of the amount of work that still needs to be done.

FGM or Female Genital Cutting or the new variant of Massaging the clitoris of a baby has no benefit for the girl child. The practice needs to end. There are no health benefits that come with Female Circumcision.

We successfully wrapped up our 3-day training for volunteers committed to establishing community-based child protection structures. Our primary goal is to foster a secure environment where local community members actively safeguard children and promptly address child-related concerns by bringing them to the right channels.

Children have a right to protection from various harms such as sexual violence, abuse, exploitation, neglect, and other forms of mistreatment. Every adult bears the responsibility of ensuring the safety of children in their communities by reporting any instances of child abuse.

Shout out to our esteemed partner, @UNICEF, for their support throughout this phase of our project. We are continually dedicated to the protection of children throughout or projects, particularly girls, and to stand against female genital mutilation.

On International Day of Education, let's reflect o

On International Day of Education, let's reflect on the theme "Learning for Lasting Peace." Education is a fundamental right, and in Nigeria, strides are being made to ensure free quality education. In Oyo State, basic education is almost free, reducing out-of-school children by a large number.

Beyond the classroom, extracurricular activities like sports, arts, and robotics foster unity as they engage in interschool, inter-state and cross-country events.

Governments must prioritize well-equipped facilities for public schools. Through initiatives like TETFUND and SUBEB, UBEC, NELFUND, progress is being made, but more support is needed.

👧🏽 Our focus at Onelife includes assessing the factors influencing girl-child education in Oyo State, while highlighting areas for improvement as well.

We also tackle gaps in comprehensive sexuality education through the School Connect project creating a 4-week course curriculum for each school.
