Thank you Precious for the lovely session this mor Thank you Precious for the lovely session this morning during our weekly staff meeting. The session on Building Personal Brand on Instagram and LinkedIn helped to further highlighting opportunities that young people on our team can take advantage of for their personal growth.

Her first question was — When was the last time you posted on #LinkedIn or #Instagram? Interesting varieties of answers in the room. Thanks to Precious, you will find us on #Instagram and #LinkedIn more.

Today is Menstrual Hygiene Day, a day to celebrate Today is Menstrual Hygiene Day, a day to celebrate the normalcy of menstruation, and to spread awareness about how important it is for women and girls to feel comfortable while they're on their periods.

We all know that menstruation is a normal process of shedding the uterine lining just like our hair or skin sheds, but many people still have myths and misconceptions about it. Some people think that menstruation is dirty or taboo. This leads them to exclude and discriminate against women and girls who are menstruating.

When girls miss school during their periods, they don’t just miss a day of learning—they lose out on valuable time with their friends, teachers, and other mentors who can help them achieve their full potential. So it is imperative for us to ensure that girls have access to menstrual hygiene supplies so that they can stay in school during their periods without any fear or embarrassment.

Happy Children's Day! Today we celebrate the role Happy Children's Day!

Today we celebrate the role of children in society and their importance to the future of our country. Children are our greatest asset, and the tools and resources needed for them to achieve a brighter future lies in our hands.

This is why we celebrate the 27th of May every year and it is up to us as adults to give them the tools and resources they need to achieve a brighter future.

Children need love, care and attention to help them grow into educated, responsible citizens of the society. They should be given every opportunity to become leaders of tomorrow.

Every May 25th is African Day, if you are African Every May 25th is African Day, if you are African or of African descent remember to raise your shoulder high today because it's our day.

We need more Africans to tell great stories about Africa such as the development happening, our beautiful cultural diversity such as Zulu of South Africa, Maasai of Kenya and Tanzania, our beautiful tourist centres such as Olumo Rock, Mount Kilimanjaro, Lake Natron, our food and so more. Let the world know that great things are happening in Africa and they are always welcome to visit.

As an Organisation we are saying happy African day

Our in-house session this week was a step down tra Our in-house session this week was a step down training on child protection and safeguarding following the training by @cpnoyostate This is a conversation we can never exhaust because as an organisation, we want to make sure that all our process and procedures are in line with best safeguarding practices and our projects do no harm to the children we work with.

One of the new information we will be taking out of here is the difference between the terminologies we use interchangeably for example the difference between child protection and child safeguarding, the difference between rape and defilement and many more. In all, we strive to be better, to do better, to programme better.… It’s our collective responsibility to protect every child; especially the teenagers we regularly reach out to.

We have been in different parts of Oyo talking abo We have been in different parts of Oyo talking about #ReproductiveHealth of women and girls but we can tell you one thing for sure! the women in #OyoTown are hungry for this information.

It was a pleasure to meet the amazing women of Oyo. They were so receptive and interested in what we had to share about reproductive health. We even had a few women ask if we could get all the women of Oyo together for information sessions, but unfortunately we don't have the resources or time to do that (yet). We believe in the power of a ripple effect, though—if everyone learns something from us and then shares it with three friends, and those three friends do the same, that's how real change happens.

For now, we're focusing on connecting youth-friendly #SRHR content with adolescents and young women across Nigeria so that any woman can have access to SRHR information no matter where she lives. We'd love your help spreading the word!

Did you miss us? We missed you too! On Tuesday th Did you miss us? We missed you too!

On Tuesday the 12th, we had the opportunity to host a community sensitization with adolescent girls and young women in Ibadan, Oyo State. The event was attended by an interesting mix of artisans, market women, out-of-school girls, senior secondary school girls, and students from University of Ibadan, the Polytechnic Ibadan.

We also had an absolute blast hearing final presentations from our groups. The participants came up with some amazing responses to questions of SRHR challenges of adolescent girls and young women in their communities. From the presentations, and we got to learn so much new information from them!

We believe that women and girls should have access to reproductive health information at their disposal at every point in time. We think this is important because it helps empower women to make informed choices about their health.

We are excited to mention the latest in a long lin We are excited to mention the latest in a long line of SRHR projects - #CampusWeySabi Project. With support from Ipas, we seek to meet the SRHR needs of 600 off-campus undergraduate students in #Oyo and #AkwaIbom States.

The current level of knowledge on reproductive health and rights of young people is low due to various barriers. As a result, they engage in risky sexual practices which lead to unplanned pregnancies, STIs and other forms of abuse.

With this project, we will be empowering young people with information that puts them on the drivers seat as far as their sexual and reproductive health is concerned.
We are excited about the start off with the training of #PPMVs close to the 6 campuses we will be reaching.

Just a reminder that we love Ife! She's just fini Just a reminder that we love Ife!

She's just finished her internship with us, and we're so sad to see her go. She was sent to us from @theiredefoundation and we have had the pleasure of working with her, she's just a really great person. But what's even better is that she doesn't let being a person living with disability stop her from doing anything if you know Ife then you know what we are talking about... she would knock on every table until she is given a task to do😂.

Sometimes she is made fun of and laughs about it, sometimes she just gets back up and keeps going— and if you ask us, the world could use more Ifes.
We'll miss you around the office, Ife! Good luck in all your future endeavors.

This week we'll be talking about inclusive budgeting—how it gives citizens real control over where a budget is spent, and why that matters.

Inclusive budgeting means that citizens—notwithstanding their social status—should be involved in how the government plans and spends their money. It ensures that a budget reflects the strength, needs, and aspirations of the population, bringing about effectiveness in governance.

Join the conversation on @splashfm1055 at 11 am, and lend your voice to how we can make government more effective!
