It's natural to question why girls should be treat It's natural to question why girls should be treated differently when they attend the same classes as boys. However, it's important to recognize that girls often face unique challenges that can impact their education.
One such challenge is the issue of menstrual hygiene. Many schools lack proper amenities like running water, functional toilets, and adequate hygiene practices. As a result, girls often miss several days of school each month due to their periods. These cumulative absences can significantly disrupt a girl's learning patterns and educational progress.
Addressing these specific needs is crucial for ensuring girls have equal access to education. By providing proper facilities and support, we can help girls overcome these challenges and create an inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.

As children, we were taught that education is the As children, we were taught that education is the key to a better future. And yet today, there are still over 20 million out of school children in Nigeria 60% of them being girls according to UNESCO
It's time for a change. As the new administration begins, we are calling on all of our representatives to do something about education in Nigeria: make sure that girls receive free, safe and quality education from their earliest days in school, and make sure that every child has access to an education no matter what their background is.
We know that this can't be done overnight—it will take time and effort from everyone involved in Nigerian society. But the demands from CSOs and stakeholders in education are basic to enable girls to get good and quality education in secondary school.
Tag your representative and let them see these demands.

Yesterday, we had an incredible opportunity to eng Yesterday, we had an incredible opportunity to engage in a dynamic conversation with over 500 corps members about inclusive horticulture and the exciting prospects it holds in agribusiness. 🌿🚀
The session was nothing short of inspiring as we delved into the boundless potential and opportunities that await in the world of agriculture. 💡🍑
We believe that by equipping these young individuals with the necessary skills, knowledge, and resources, we can help them demystify agriculture, help them understand the value chain and at the same time cultivate a future where agriculture is seen as business for women as well as young people.
🌾❤️
A huge shoutout to all the corps members who actively participated in the conversation, contributing their unique perspectives and ideas. Your engagement is invaluable! 👏🗣
You can also reach out to us if you are a young person into vegetable farming.

Did you know that many young people use text message abbreviations as a way to communicate more efficiently?
While this may seem harmless, it's important for parents to be aware of their kids' online activities and monitor their communication channels. Social media platforms and messaging apps can expose young people to inappropriate content or even predators.
As a parent/guardian, it's important to have open communication with your kids and establish rules and boundaries for their online behaviour. Let's work together to keep our young people safe and healthy in the digital age.
Comment below which abbreviations have you found most shocking? Here is one WTTNP

On this day, we celebrate the clan of hardworking On this day, we celebrate the clan of hardworking individuals who make our societies and economies thrive. From the essential workers who kept us safe and healthy during the pandemic to the social workers whose passion and hard work support and fill in the gaps for the government. Workers are the backbone of our society.
As we celebrate today, it’s important to remember that the fight for workers’ rights is far from over. Many workers still face unjust treatment, exploitation, and unsafe working conditions. As a society, we must continue to advocate for fair wages even as inflation keeps going higher, safe working conditions, and basic human rights for all workers.
Happy Worker’s Day!

Learning is continuous. Our review meeting with ou Learning is continuous. Our review meeting with our in-school and out-of-school peer educators after their Focus Group Discussion pushed out new information. The reproductive health and rights manual we are reviewing with Ipas Nigeria Health Foundation is getting richer. The discussion was fruitful, and some of the feedback excellent and unexpected.
Thanks to our peer educators for their hard work and dedication to this exercise. Their insights and feedback have been invaluable to shape this manual into a comprehensive resource that will benefit other adolescents and young people.
We’ll be moving forward to the next steps in this project and cannot wait to see the final product.
What do you think are the pain points for young people that needs to be incorporated into a reproductive health manual? Did you just whisper mental health? Did we hear you say Drug abuse in hushed tone? Please let us know in the comment section.

Fun Fact! Did you know that the menstrual cycle i Fun Fact!
Did you know that the menstrual cycle is not always 28 days long? - it can be as short as 21 days and as long as 35 days. This is the type of information that we provide during our peer to peer sessions to bust some myths that get young people confused about their reproductive health.
This week, we tested a sexual and reproductive health manual that will be used in peer-to-peer/near-peer sessions with adolescents and young people to determine the best way to deliver the modules. Part of what we are testing is appropriateness, content, images, language, and time.
Thanks to our partner, Ipas Nigeria Health Foundation, we are able to engage fully with young people as regards their sexual and reproductive health and rights to help us meet our vision of a generation of young people who are able to make informed decisions about their sexual rights.
