At Onelife, we are committed to finding innovative solutions to the challenges faced by the Entrepreneurial Farmers we work with. One of the most pressing issues is the shortage of farm hands, particularly because we rely heavily on manual farming. 🤝 Our team supported the HortiNigeria roundtable meeting on Labour as an Innovation Business Support Service Provider, together with other horticulture enterprises, value chain actors and farmers in Ogun and Oyo State. 🌍

This gathering was a melting pot of ideas, creativity, and expertise aimed at addressing the labour scarcity issue head-on. 🌟💡Labourers wages, recruitment processes, preference for Lagos as the small London, security and absconding from their duty post were some of the issues addressed at the meeting.

Every year, we eagerly anticipate International Yo

Every year, we eagerly anticipate International Youth Day – one of the commemorations where we come together to create lasting change in the lives the young people in our communities.

This year, the excitement reached new heights as we embarked on an incredible journey of growth with over 100 vegetable farming enthusiasts.
Our chosen path? The world of Cucumber Production!🥒 Why cucumber, you ask? Because it’s returns are faster than any betting platform will promise😉, maturing in about 45 days!

And oh, the thrill of competition, and prizes that were promised which was supported by our partner @hortinigeria_program ! As the quiz buzzed with energy, our aspiring farmers showcased their knowledge and passion and the winners claimed prizes like recharge cards, t-shirts, seed trays, sprayers, and nourishing cocopeats!

But the excitement didn’t stop there! we also had an online version for our young people who could not make the physical training so we had participants from all over the country and outside as well. We are committed to nurturing the dreams and aspirations of our youth community so follow us on our social media platforms to stay in the loop for more incredible opportunities, enriching experiences, and chances to make a meaningful impact.

Today on the Youth Civic Engagement Programme 2023

Today on the Youth Civic Engagement Programme 2023 of LeadTots and Human Development Services, Bauchi, our Executive Director shared with over 50 young people on Youth Policy Development and how Policy can Influence Youth Development in Africa.

It was a perfect opportunity to co-xray with them several of the recent policies of the incumbent government and how they affect youths in Nigeria. Insights were also drawn from the various youth policies across the continent. The NYSC and the N-Power policies stood out. In case you are in doubt, Nigeria’s National Youth Policy identifies only 15 to 29-year-olds as youths.

Throwback to when we retreated a bit to clear our heads and reevaluate our project goals on our State of the Girl Child Education Project.

What we accomplished in the four-day retreat was more than we would have achieved in more than a week at the office.

The late-night discussions were equally memorable. so as we look back on this retreat, we're reminded of the fire within us to make a difference. It's moments like these that fuel our passion to create a better world for the girl child.

Onelife recently had the incredible opportunity to participate in an event organized by @spaces4change . Over the course of two days, we attended a comprehensive digital security clinic training, which was specifically designed to empower and equip civic society organizations, NGOs, media personnel, and journalists with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to protect their digital space and safely operate online.

The clinic provided an enlightening and immersive experience, offering in-depth analysis .One of the key highlights was our exploration of strategic communication for media professionals, emphasizing the importance of digital safety tools, Social Protection Mechanisms, encryption and safety tools, investigative journalism in the digital space, whistleblowing safety, data protection strategies, roles and responsibilities, and digital safety from a gendered perspective.

By participating in this training, we have gained invaluable insights and skills that will enable us to better protect our online presence and safeguard the interests of our organization.
