JOB OPENING FOR PROGRAMMES OFFICER; Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights

Onelife Initiative seeks to engage an experienced Programmes Officer on its Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) desk in our Ibadan Office. The staff will be responsible for planning and execution of programmes, projects, and activities relating to Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights.

It is a full time role.
Job Details

• Lead the design and execution of programmes and activities, especially on the SRHR desk of the organisation, as agreed upon by the management team;
• Ensure SRHR projects and programmes of the organisation are done following the established work plan, timeline, content, and expected results;
• Support field data collection and study, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of project activities;
• Support in resource mobilisation through proposal writing, concept note designs and other organisational fundraising activities;
• Support and develop technical and programmatic reports, policy briefs, fact sheets, concept notes, proposals and other contributions for publication or submissions;
• Support knowledge management, capacity building, and content production for external use in the form of IEC/BCC materials;
• Supervise human resources and direct activities under the SRHR Desk;
• Support demand generation activities for specific sexual and reproductive health and rights services among adolescents and young people in Nigeria.
• Support other programmatic desks as required within the organisation.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• The preferred candidate for this role is a female, not more than 30 years.
• A first degree, preferably in health or social sciences. A master’s degree in a relevant field is an edge.
• Minimum of two years relevant work experience providing programme support/implementation on sexual and reproductive health-related programmes with a non-governmental organisation or social enterprise;
• Demonstrable technical understanding of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights issues at the national, regional and international stage;
• Professional writing and verbal communication skills for reports, letters, concept notes and proposal writing coupled with session delivery is a priority;
• Ability to work comfortably with major Microsoft suites and Google products;
• Demonstrate attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision while collaborating with the team;
• Fluency in the Yoruba language is a MUST for this role because of the local context of assignments
• Disposed to travelling within and outside Ibadan at short notice

MONITORING, EVALUATION AND LEARNING OFFICER

Onelife Initiative seeks to engage an experienced Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer in its Ibadan Office. The staff will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating activities and outcomes at different levels and on all projects of the organisation.

It is a full time role.
Job Role

• Support effective monitoring, evaluation and learning of all organisation’s projects and activities
• Support and advise on monitoring and evaluation of projects and activities;
• Work closely with the project officer and other project team members to ensure excellent data and impact reporting on all projects;
• Design and monitor project work plans, log frames, initiate and oversee research and data collection for all projects and activities;
• Assist in internal evaluation and quality assessment of project data;
• Maintain the project database for learning outcomes;
• Work with staff from various projects to review project performance and projects against established baselines and annual indicator targets;
• Support other project activities in the organisation.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A first degree, preferably in statistics, social sciences or related fields. A master’s degree in a relevant field is an advantage;
• Minimum of two years of relevant work experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) with a non-governmental organisation or social enterprise on a donor-funded project;
• Strong technical understanding of MEL frameworks, results-based management, and logical frameworks, especially within health, governance, or youth-focused programmes;
• Experience in designing data collection tools, conducting field monitoring visits, and generating reports that inform programme improvement;
• Proficiency in data analysis software such as SPSS, STATA, NVIVO and Excel. Experience with mobile data collection platforms like KoboToolbox, ODK is a plus;
• Demonstrated ability to analyse quantitative and qualitative data and prepare high-quality reports with excellent writing and verbal communication skills for compiling MEL reports, learning briefs, and success stories;
• Ability to work comfortably with major Microsoft Office tools and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.);
• Strong attention to detail, comfortability with numbers and ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple tasks independently or in a team setting;
• Applicants should not be more than 30 years old at the time of submission.
