Creating Safe Spaces for Adolescents
Sometimes, there’s nothing as rewarding as connecting with tomorrow’s leaders! This month, our School Connect intervention filled the school walls of Ansar-ud-Deen High School, Ikole Ekiti; a historic school standing tall since 1959. With 110 girls, 282 boys, and 55 teachers (including some amazing undergrad teachers from Federal University Oye-Ekiti), we created a safe, powerful space to talk openly about real-life topics that shape young lives.

From puberty, body image, self-esteem, and menstruation, to goal setting and the realities of risky sexual behaviours, we spent nearly 90 minutes diving deep and answering an incredible 57 anonymous questions; some bold, some surprising! Their curiosity keeps us inspired and shows why #ComprehensiveSexualityEducation matters. Our dream is simple: empower every young person to be informed, valued, and ready to spark sustainable change in their community.
